The MOPGA Visiting Fellowship Program is a fully funded opportunity for early-career researchers to conduct research in France, focusing on climate change, sustainability, and environmental sciences. Here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Hold a PhD degree obtained between December 2020 and December 2025
- Non-French citizens
- Not resided in France for more than 90 days between September 12, 2025, and December 12, 2025
Scholarship Benefits:
- Monthly Allowance: €2,500 to cover living expenses
- One-time Installation Grant: €500
- Health Insurance:Â Coverage for health insurance, civil liability, and repatriation assistance
- Complementary Health Insurance:Â Once registered with the French social security system
Required Documents:
- CV:Â Maximum 4 pages, including publication list
- PhD Diploma:Â Proof of PhD completion
- Research Supervisor’s CV:Â Maximum 2 pages
- Letter of Support:Â From the French host institution
- Letters of Recommendation:Â Up to 3

Application Process:
- Prepare your research project and supporting documents
- Find a host laboratory in France and secure a support letter
- Submit your application online through the Campus France portal
- Wait for notification of results (May/June 2026)
- Arrive in France and start your fellowship between September 2026 and December 2026
