Research Mobility Grants for Early-Career Scholars
The Fondation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme (FMSH) and the Institut de recherche sur l’Asie du Sud-Est contemporaine (IRASEC) are offering mobility grants for young researchers to carry out research projects in Southeast Asia.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationals of a European Union country residing in France
- Defended thesis in 2020 or later
- Associated with a research centre or laboratory in France
- Original research project in humanities or social sciences involving fieldwork in Southeast Asia
Grant Details:
- €1,700 per month for 2-3 months
- Covers travel and accommodation costs
- Opportunity to submit publication proposal to IRASEC
Application Requirements:
- Completed application form
- Scientific dossier (10,000-20,000 characters)
- Signed letter of motivation
- Two-page CV with publication list
- Letter from research centre director
Deadline:Â February 6, 2026, 17:00 (Paris time)
Selection Criteria:
- Quality of scientific file and methodology
- Relevance of travel to Southeast Asia
- Applicant’s ability to identify local scientific contacts
Results will be announced at the end of March 2026.
