Gen Foundation Grant Program 2026 | Funding for Science & Food-Related Research
The Gen Foundation Grant Program is offering grants to support individual students and researchers who demonstrate excellence in natural sciences, particularly food sciences or technology, with a focus on cross-cultural exchange between Japan and the rest of the world.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- Engaged in study or research in natural sciences, particularly food sciences or technology
- Demonstrate excellence in their respective field
- Commitment to diversity and equal opportunities
Grant Details:
- One-off, non-renewable awards
- Grant amount determined at the discretion of the Trustees
- Paid in Sterling Pounds by cheque within the UK or wire transfer outside the UK
Application Requirements:
- Complete application form with a recent passport-sized photograph
- Up-to-date curriculum vitae in English
- Two original and signed letters of reference (in English or Japanese)
- Evidence of acceptance by an organisation or institution (may include a conditional letter)
- Deadline: February 27, 2026
The selection process involves shortlisting candidates based on their submitted applications, followed by interviews conducted by the Trustees.
