
2026 World Academy of Science (TWAS) Scholarship – ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO Program for Developing Countries | Fully Funded
The World Academy of Science Scholarship is a fully funded program for international students from developing countries to pursue Master’s or PhD studies in China. Here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Not holding Chinese citizenship
- Nationals of eligible developing countries
- Proficient in English or Chinese
- Meeting admission criteria for USTC or UCAS
- Not taking up other assignments during the scholarship period
Benefits:
- Full Tuition Coverage: Tuition fees are fully covered
- Monthly Stipend: ¥6,000-7,000 per month for up to 48 months
- Health Insurance: Covered during the study period
- International Travel Allowance: One-time travel allowance from home country to China
- Application Fee Waiver: Application fees are waived
Application Process:
- Choose a University: Select either University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) or University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS)
- Submit Application: File and submit your application in the USTC/UCAS admission system
- Select Scholarship: Choose “the ANSO Scholarship for Young Talents” and check the box for ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO Scholarship
