The Hokkaido University MEXT Scholarship is a fully funded opportunity for international students to pursue Master’s or Doctoral degrees at the Graduate School of Environmental Science, starting in October 2026. Here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility Requirements:
- International students with outstanding academic achievements
- GPA of 2.30/3.00 or above
- English proficiency equivalent to CEFR B2 level (e.g., TOEFL iBT 72 or IELTS 5.5)
Benefits:
- Full tuition fee exemption
- Monthly stipend: ¥144,000 for Master’s students and ¥145,000 for Doctoral students
- Round-trip air ticket provided by MEXT
- Duration: 2 years for Master’s and 3 years for Doctoral programs
