
2026 CMU Africa Mastercard Foundation Scholarship | Fully Funded Graduate Program
The CMU Africa Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program is a fully funded master’s scholarship offered by Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa) and the Mastercard Foundation. The program supports talented young Africans who face social and economic barriers to pursue higher education.
Program Details:
- Host University: Carnegie Mellon University Africa (CMU-Africa)
- Location: Kigali, Rwanda
- Degree: Master of Science in Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Engineering Artificial Intelligence
- Duration: Typically 2 years

Application Process:
- Submit an online application for the Master of Science program (MSIT, MS ECE, or MS EAI)
- Complete competency tests
- Apply by December 15, 2025, to have test fees covered or by January 15, 2026, for final deadline
