What is TISSF?
The Tertiary Institutions Staff Support Fund (TISSF) is a Federal Ministry of Education and Tetfund-funded program dedicated to enhancing the well-being, career development, and financial stability of tertiary institution staff across Nigeria.
We aim to address systemic challenges faced by both academic and non-academic staff, ensuring they have the resources to thrive, grow professionally, and contribute meaningfully to their institutions and communities.

Medical Support
Financial help for urgent emergencies, critical surgeries, and essential medication to ease long-term health-related burdens.
Family Support
Support for home rent, essential renovations, and secure home ownership to greatly improve living conditions.
Transport Support
Support automobile acquisition including EVs, Bikes, Tricycles, maintenance and support for CNG Conversion
SME Support
Poultry, fishing, crop farming, animal husbandry and cottage agro-processing
Academic Advancement
Funding for academic programs, certifications, and skill development to advance careers and boost institutional impact
Accommodation support
We offer financial aid for rent, renovations, and home or land ownership to improve staff living conditions

Who is eligible to apply for TISSF?
Only confirmed full-time academic or non-academic staff of eligible tertiary institutions who are members of all relevant staff associations, with at least 5 years to retirement, can apply.
Which institutions are eligible for TISSF?
All federal universities, federal polytechnics, federal colleges of education, and one state university, polytechnic, and college of education per state.
Is the TISSF loan interest-free?
Yes. TISSF loans are provided at a 0% interest rate to reduce financial burdens on staff.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: The official program launch is on 14th August 2025, with disbursements starting in Q4 2025. Institutions and staff should stay updated through official communication channels.
