The scholarship is available to applicants training in French, German, or Spanish, and aims to strengthen language education by supporting skilled and committed teachers through their journey.

Who is eligible to apply?
Applicants must:
- Hold a 2:1 or higher in a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), or a relevant Master’s or PhD
- Be applying to train in French, German, or Spanish
- Have secured a place on an eligible non-salaried teacher training course in England by September 2025
- Candidates with a 2:2 degree or a degree in another subject may also be considered if they demonstrate strong language skills in one of the eligible languages
Special Note to international applicants:
While international relocation payments (IRP) will no longer apply to trainees starting in 2025/26, international candidates are still eligible for this scholarship if they meet all other criteria.
