Did you know the African Growth and Development Policy – AGRODEP Modeling Consortium is positioning African experts to contribute their expertise to the continent’s development agenda?
Established in 2010, and led by AKADEMIYA2063, the overarching goal of AGRODEP is to create a group of word-class economic modelers to take a leading role in the study of strategic development questions and the broader economic growth and policy debate across Africa, notably supporting the analytical needs of the CAADP implementation agenda.
The AGRODEP network currently boasts over 230 members from 36 countries. The consortium provides its members with access to cutting-edge economic research tools, data, and training as well as opportunities to apply for competitive research grants. In addition, AGRODEP members become part of a large network of researchers and experts from Africa and beyond.
We are excited to launch a call for applications for the 2023 Cohort of AGRODEP Members!
For this particular call, we strongly encourage applications from researchers who are engaged in or are strongly interested in (i) Sanitary and Phytosanitary Systems (SPS); (ii) Impact Evaluation; (iii) Climate Change; and (iv) Resilience Measurement. We also strongly encourage women to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of an African country.
- Must be based in Africa.
- Must have obtained a PhD within the last 15 years, be currently pursuing a PhD degree, or possess a Master’s degree in combination with technical skills and experience.
- Other factors considered in the selection process are the level and nature of applicants’ technical skills as well as publications.
