It dawn on me in my final lapses for secondary school that writing rhythm and poetry was something I really enjoyed and as life goes on i had opportunities of developing my talent.
Currently I work with various producers, learning about music as much as I can, and I have gone to several competitions that has actually made me a little relevant in the main stream and as well developing my performing skill.
I have actually created a network of friends that has given more insight concerning the music business and in the long run sooner or later I would start making returns. As funny as it may sound, I am currently developing my cooking skills, during the long break, I work with my mum who supplies various banks food.
I hope to combine these two, music and cooking skill to create wealth for myself.

My talent is Acting. I first discovered that I could act when I was in secondary school and was dared to act as a mad woman. From that day, I started going for auditions until I got into the university of Nigeria and joined a group called federation theatre which we go around nsukka to act and get paid.

In the nearest future, I plan to use my talent to make a living by joining the Nollywood in Nigeria. I plan to act and get paid. I also want to use my acting talent to communicate and pass morals unto the youths and encourage others to make use of their God giving talents to make a living and not waste it.

Firstly, getting a required capital which would enable me start up a restaurant at first.
Starting up a restaurant requires positioning it on a strategic position which in turn gets customers and helps in wealth accumulation. These strategic sites include student areas, work areas or other crowdy areas and as such well enough to draw massive crowd.
Using my super cooking talent, I would be able to deliver the best services to them enough for me to be patronize me and keep the business going.
With time and hopefully with more profit, I would diversify and open up branches at other parts of the are making it easier for people from all parts of the area to get close and patronize my business which in turn creates and adds to already made wealth overtime.
I would also start up a program which creates room for young and willing individuals to learn the art of bakery and cooking as well for a fixed amount of money.
And also from the skill of baking acquired, I would start up a bakery with the required capital and specialize on the delivery of baked cookies to stores and other retail outlet who in turn pay me and
Help retail my goods as well for their personal gain.

People say they are "born with a talent". Someone who has talent is called talented. A skill is the ability to carry out a task with determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both. People need a broad range of skills to contribute to a modern economy. A joint ASTD and U.S. Department of Labor study showed that through technology, the workplace is changing, and identified 16 basic skills that employees must have to be able to change with it. Skills can be categorized based on the level of expertise and motivation. The highest level of engagement corresponds to the artisan. About 2% of people reach the highest level.

My name is Good luck wisdom Edighotu, am from rivers state. I appreciate God for his gifts and talents in my life; I am for ever indebted and grateful to him (God) for these gifts and talents.
Firstly, God has blessed me with a loud voice (i.e audibility) which has given me advantages in many occasions and events that I have served as MC of the occasion. Serving as MC in many occasions and events in my place have made me popular among the people in my local government area (i.e. the Abua/Odual local government area) but beside the popularity it has created for me, it has also linked and connect me with certain persons I would not on my own know them, let alone having their contacts.
Secondly, serving at the capacity of MC in many events in my place, has been a blessing from God. I call it a blessing because; I do not serve without a token. The least I know I have taken as MC is #5000.00 (i.e. five thousand naira). Like I said earlier, serving at the capacity of MC is a blessing not just because of the fact that I get paid whenever am being called up on but, because often times, it Comes when I am in need of money.
Thirdly, aside being blessed with audibility, I am also blessed to amuse people. This means that in most events I am contracted to make comedy (that is, to create jokes) .This is another gift and talent God has given me, that am trying to employ and develop. The challenge I have with this gift is that, even though I find it easy to amuse people, am not often contacted for this job.
SKILLS:
Though as a young man I have not acquire much skills. This does not mean I do not have any skill at all. I am a brick layer, a skill I acquired six (6) years ago before gaining admission into this school (university of Nigeria, Nsukka).There is no brick layer who will not accept the fact that there is money in the job, because the least we are paid in a day is #3500.00 (that is three thousand five hundred naira) per day. The only bad thing about the job is that it is not secure and more over we are too many after few structures in town

ABILITY TO TEACH AND IMPACT
This has been a God given talent right from childhood. So far till now I've observed that I tend to transfer the knowledge with ease and passion without struggling no matter how difficult or advance the course/subject might be. I have been of great assistance to an extramural center owner in teaching and organizing exams for students. This has made me always study extensively as to not being a half-baked economist. For the short term (next 5 years) wealth creation, I intend graduating with a good class, obtain my M.sc and take my talent to the next level by tutoring/lecturing in tertiary institutions and working towards establishing one of the best extramural centers in a big city. With this, I should, not only be far from poverty but also impact in the lives of youths and people by creating employment.

My maker, I believe has blessed and endowed me with so many talents in which some I'm still discovering. This talent is God given and started from childhood. ADAPTABILITY
This talent has been of great importance to me since childhood. I tend to blend and adapt quickly to changing environment or situations. It has a great importance to a large extent in both short and long-term periods. This is one talent that will so help me in my teaching/lecturing pursuit in that I intend not having just one big extramural center in a place but diverse places. So this talent, in both short and long-term will help me observe quickly and adapt to that very environment.
RESEARCH SKILLS
This is a skill I've nurtured so far to complement my teaching/lecturing talent. Currently, I've learnt to use some computer packages like the E-VIEWS, SPSS, and EXCEL Sheets and to present the results in a power point (slides). More so, I'm currently learning some research skills and plan going advance in research work by working for a research institute. , I have applied as a part-time (student) Research Analyst in an Online Research Enterprise. To God’s glory I passed the first screening aptitude test (SAT) and have been given a second screening computing test. I hope that by June, I will get an appointment letter from the online firm.
On the long run, I plan establishing my own sound research institute; by so doing, impacting and creating more employment opportunity for people and solving some critical economic and social issues ravaging the economy.

This is a skill I've developed of recent. Never knew I had this great business and entrepreneurial skills in analyzing and presenting business ideas until I involved in an international business competition which my team emerged winner for UNN stage. Success according to renowned scholars is never attained through sudden flight or spontaneous acceleration. It is an outcome of pre-planned expectations and self-development. By self-development I mean the improvement, acquisition and utilization of the many natural and human abilities within the reach of man. Hence self-development has the propensity to create natural development. To this end, this piece as instructed by the lecturer makes an exposure of my (the writer’s) natural endowment and human-acquired abilities with a prospect of how I could generate wealth with it thereby making it enterprising within two specific term periods.

My Talent:-
Talent according to the 9th edition of the Oxford Learner’s Dictionary is a natural ability to do something well. Over the years, I have through parental observation, friends cum associates’ remarks and very importantly personal reflection noticed that I have the Talent (gift) of Organization and Leadership. Since my childhood, I have noticed that except I decline, I am usually spotted out to handle leadership tasks. I naturally derive natural pleasure in organizing people and things to follow an ideal or ordered path. As a pointer to my leadership traits, I effortlessly influence people’s decision and most interestingly much of persons in all groups that I enjoy membership usually follow my line of thought.

My Skills:-
In trying to develop myself, I have over the years acquired skills such as

Talent is a marked natural ability. It can be defined as those spiritual gifts we have; it can also be seen as those natural skills God enacted in us.

There are various kinds of talents and mine is music (singing) and I’m into gospel songs. My obvious talent and love for music began to blossom at my tender age. When I was younger I like singing, whenever I hears or listen to songs it lifts my spirit, it’s something I enjoys doing and I have a great passion for it. I went ahead to join children’s choir and there was where i was trained a bit. I sing during different occasions in church. Later on I joined the adult choir and that was where I was trained properly.

I develop my talent by watching music clips on YouTube, watching different music programmes on television like project fame, on how to develop my music life. I train myself by listening and watching hundreds of real open singers in that I learn what they do and how it’s been done and I have tried not to sing with earphones when I’m doing rehearsal because it gives me false sense of my voice, I only use earphones at my leisure.im actually working on myself and i believe that I will come out perfect one day and the world will definitely hear my voice between now and five to ten years. I also created a music group which I called (de-blissful singers) we are about five (5) in my group and as time goes by we will be more than that.

I’m working on myself on how to play keyboard, whenever i goes for music rehearsal I usually join the keyboardist in their training. I’m really working hardly in order to improve myself daily. I want to train my voice in such a way that when people (unbelievers) hears my voice they will turn to God.

How I intend to create wealth for myself with my talent
By gods inspiration I intend to create wealth for myself between now and five by releasing albums and by his grace I won’t stop like most musicians did. I will use my God given talent to bring myself out of poverty but not only creating wealth for myself but also impacting lives, releasing songs that will touch people’s lives and bring them close to god. I’m working tirelessly towards it.

Secondly I intend to open a music school, bring those who are on the street who has singing talent, enrol and train them. I believe that between now and five (5) years I will not only be performing on shows and programs but I will be training and recruiting people into my music school based on the area of choice of the individual.

My Talents are fashion designing and interior designing. Most times, when I am less busy, I come up with new fashion designs and these designs are mind blowing. I have over 300 designs already. I believe that this gift I have is not for recreational purposes; but it is a raw material, a resource given to me by God to make wealth. Right now, what I want to major in now s fashion before I take up Interior designing.
I started designing when I was in secondary school. At that time, I really did not know the value of what I was doing, had I known, I would have taken it serious. I basically eat fashion and sleep fashion. I love fashion because it has no limitation or restriction. Fashion is arts, it’s an expression of what is inside you, how you think and see the world, that is why every work done by fashion designer represents who they are. There are people I look up to in the fashion Industry that really inspire me. They are Style temple, Mai Atafo, Iwade Brand, Wana Sambo, Deola Sagoe, Fendi (Late Karl), etc. People ask me a lot of times how I come up with these designs, because they are really unique. My inspiration is the holy spirit, he gives me fresh ideas.
I have a vision for myself (concerning fashion designing) for the next five years; the name of my fashion design company is MYONE FASHION. Myone Fashion basically deals in women's wear (basically on work wears, event dresses, free wears and red carpet dresses). My vision is to have Myone Fashion headquaters in lagos and branches in South Africa, Los angeles,New york, London, France and Asia, and my stores in every five countries. My customers would be of the likes of the Kardashians, Mitchelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Nicki Minaj, amongst others. I also intend to be the youngest most successful fashion designer in the world. It will be on Forbes list soon. So the question is how do I develop my talent and turn it into wealth?
First of all, I have already started attending an online class on fashion business; in the Fashion business, you are 75% a business person and 25% fashion designer. Therefore, for me to succeed, I need a whole bank of knowledge of business. Here we are taught about pricing, branding, customer service, social media marketing, amongst so many others. Each class runs for a month, and every class has its goal and that goal is to earn a particular income each month. The first class is called Fashion Starter and the income goal is #50,000. If you haven't hit the target yet, you would be on probation. You go on and on until you get to the highest one and that is the Fashion Millionaires Club; at this point, you are earning in millions.
Secondly, I plan on going for internship programs where I would be given the opportunity to work with star fashion designers to learn what they do and how do they do it to produce the result they have now.
After my four years study in Economics, I intend to go abroad to study Fashion designing in France; Myone Fashion is an exceptional one so it needs an exceptional foundation.
Fashion designing is what I love doing. Its something I can do for free. I am doing what I am doing not for the money but for the impact. I believe God has given everyone gifts, which are not for pleasure but to change the world for good.

Dancing and football are my talent. Am a good dancer since childhood and i have developed it by joining different dance crews until i organized one recently that i am the leader of.
Football is my talent and also my passion after dancing. I play football very where and i have developed it by joining football trainings, playing for schools, Local Government, etc. i also enjoy watching football especially Chelsea match because i am a big fan of the club. My aim is to be a player in the club.
I am a very good planner. I plan things with strategy and it always work out fine. I use it as a tool for problem solving, creativity etc. and am good at it.
Am a computer literate, it is a skill i acquired after my secondary school. And have worked very hard to be so good in COMPUTER PROGRAMMING because that was my focus. Am also good in desktop publishing and others.

HOW I PLAN TO DEVELOP MY TALENT AND SKILL TO CREATE JOB FOR ME IN THE NEXT 5-10 YEARS
DANCING:- Am a very good dancer and i have worked so hard to improve my dancing. I have been featured to dance for two popular artiste (Olamide and Phyno) and so many upcoming artiste on their video shoot. I believe with my continous effort and God’s grace, in the next 5-10years i will be very famous in dancing and am also teaching people how to dance. I plan opening a dancing school where so many people from different places will come and learn how to dance.

FOOTBALL:- As i explained earlier on how i have developed my football talent. My manager is working to try and secure a deal for me in a France club (Orleans). Hopefully in months or years to come i will be signed as a player. I believe in myself and am going to be among the starting 11.

STRATEGIC PLANNING:- I have used my strategic intelligence mainly for solving problems. I have solved different problems and given people different ideas which they applied and it was a success.

My name is Thompson onyinyechukwu, I want to talk about my talent and skills and how I plan to develop it in order to create wealth for me in the nearest future.
First of all talent is something that is inborn, that is a gift given to you by God. Talents is something that all individuals have and if well developed or harnessed should and will make wealth for you, for even the bible said that the gift of a man will make way for him.
My talent is hair making and other skills I have tried developing and still developing is cathering and bag making.
First and foremost, I am still working and practicing to perfection; this is so that I will be competent enough to stand the labour market, reason being that I cannot compete with unharnessed skill and talent, competition demand that one should be at the top of the game and practice and competency will not only take you there but it will sustain you up there.
So the strategies that I have applied in achieving this aim of mine alongside my academics is that first, in regards to hair making, I have continued to make hair for my friends at no cost and to other persons at cost, this has enabled me to continue improving in the skill though am almost to an appreciable height and it has also served as a platform to sell my skill and talent in order to be popular for a future income and earning.
Secondly in regards to catering and bag making, I have enrolled in an online catering class and for bag making I have seized the opportunity to learn from a friend who has already acquired the skill, so to acquire the trainings from him, I have made it a holiday and weekend lessons.
So, to make these an actualizable future means of income, aside my educational career, I will own a saloon with high standard equipments, employ people who are also very good in the work and can offer quality service to customers, sales of quality hair products and materials, in order to make my saloon a household name in the business world. I will also offer catering services to people so as to make more money.
All these needs capital, so I plan saving up most of my service money and any money I realize from any work I do after my education here in the university.

1. My Talent and Skills: The Skills I have are Tailoring and Hair dressing. The dominant of them is Tailoring. I learnt how to sow clothes after my secondary school and up till now, I still devote some of my time to making some of the clothes I wear by myself. Tailoring is interesting. The cost of making a clothe is relatively cheap. Most of the clothes I wear are locally made by tailors who I do help out in one way or the other. So in appreciation for my assistance, they normally sow clothes for free for me, provided I buy the clothing materials. Also, I know how to plait hair and pretty do it well. I plait most of my friends hair and they offer a thank you in appreciation.
2. How I intend to develop my skills and use them to escape poverty: I have plans of still learning Tailoring and hair dressing up to a professional level. Upon my graduation and service, I will go for and extensive training in Tailoring. When I must have been certified to be good at it, then I will look to establishing my own business of clothe making. In the medium term, I hope to make money by making clothes for people and charging them for my services. In the long term, I hope to get contracts from schools and groups for a bulk request. I also wish to go into commercial clothing where I will make large number of clothing styles and designs and supply to sellers. With a quality clothe and being relatively cheaper than already made clothes, I will have large customers patronizing my line. Not only has my talent elevated me out of poverty, it has also encouraged patronage to locally made clothes instead of imported ones. I believe that by so doing, I have added my own quota to the development of my country’s economy.

Answer

There are many different issues tied to Talent Identification and Development. When identifying talent many programmes and scouts had often based their criteria on a “shopping list” of physical and anthropometric variables. For example, scouts may look for a Centre Defender to be strong, tall, large jump height, whilst a Forward may need to be quick, agile and have a physical presence. Whilst these examples represent criteria that would be expected or desired in an adult performance, they may not be the key factors in performance at a young age. Abbott & Collins (2004) argues that identifying talent through psychological tests may be much more beneficial than physical tests. Whilst physical tests can measure performance well, at a young age using them for Talent Id means they fail to take into account any maturation effects and may eliminate potential performers due to slower maturation. (Lidor, Cote and Hachfort, 2007). Abbott et al., (2007) say that different psychological factors may be much more important to talent development at a young age and throughout maturation than the physical qualities desired from adult performances. They claim that both “psycho-motor” skills (the fundamental motor pathways of skills, such as catching and throwing) and “psycho-behavioral” skills (self-motivation, determination, perceived self-confidence etc) are the keys to athlete development from a young age and will allow for better realisation of potential.

Abbott et al., (2007) suggest there are three key stages to applying these psychological skills. Psycho-motor skills are fundamental to sports as they set the formations for more complex skills to be developed from. First a “Basic Moves” stage – where, as coaches we can develop kicking, movement and balance as well as teaching the importance of health benefits to performance such as strength stamina and speed. By developing these early on young players can have the basic movements correct to build football specific skills upon. Following this a “Transition” stage where more complex moves can be taught, travelling and throwing, kicking on the move etc. We can also then introduce key concepts such as scanning and decision making in relation to different types of games. Decision making is vital to football and can often distinguish the difference between the good and the great whilst scanning aids this process substantially. Finally a “Sport Specific” stage where football related skills and movements and decision making can all be practiced and developed through deliberate practice.

How can I use these talent and skills to create wealth?
My identified talents and skills I have developed are braiding hair and makeup. Beading hair is one of my identified skills I have developed, in the sense that braiding hair can help me to create wealth or earn money for me in some years ahead. I can actually use my identified skills which is braiding hair to create wealth for my self in the sense that when I tell people about my skill, they come to me to make or braid their hair and I get paid. For example as I have a skill now which is braiding of hair, and I can actually use that skill which I have identified to make money. When I make hair for one or two people or more than that self and I get paid, I can actually use the money I get from braiding hair to create wealth for myself. I can use the money I get to buy things I need or I can even save the money, in the sense that when I start making people's hair and I get paid, I can save the money if I want to then, after saving and I get a huge amount of money, then I can use the money to create wealth for myself and also create in the future. Braiding of hair is one of my skills that I identified, I can actually make a lot of money or create lots of wealth from braiding of hair, braidingvof hair is something I have the passion for and doing it anytime. So the more I make people's hair the more left more money to create wealth for myself.
Making up is also one of my skills that I identified, making up is something that I have passion for, I learnt how to make up and I learnt it very well in the sense that I can make up for anyone that is interested in doing that. Both bridal makeup, Valentine makeup, dinner night or dinner makeups etc. I have passion for doing all those kinds of make over. I can use my identified skills which is making to create wealth for myself in the sense that if I have friends that have a date or dinner or any party to attend or even wedding to attend, I can make up for her and get paid, I can use the money that I got from making up to create wealth for myself.
That's some of my identified skills. So now therefore we shall move to my talents. I have some identified talents which I will list two of them and tell you how I can use my identify talent to create wealth for myself in the the future. The identified talent am listing here are dancing and singing. I dance and sing that'smy talent. I can actually use my dancing and singing talent to create wealth for myself in the future in the sense that I dance and sing anywhere I like I have passion for doing that, I feel so happy doing that and I actually sing and dance anywhere and anyhow i want to. MY TALENTS: PAINTING AND PHOTOGRAPHY

My talent is painting and photography. I good in painting not that I spent time learning it but it is like inborn. I see myself portraiting any of my design imaginations with painting. I found it less stressful while painting.
The second one which is photography and my main area of concentration. I am a professional photography. I do coverage without finding any difficulty in posses and camera settings. In photography, to shoot is one and to know how to set your camera settings is another major thing and I found myself strong in all without more stress in learning them.

HOW I INTEND DEVELOPING IT IN THE NEXT FIVE YEARS

After my NYSC programme, I intend going abroad to develop my photography skills. I will learn more about cameras and its setting. I will then open a photo studio in an area that mostly students and young people live. For my painting, I will open a shops where paints are being sold.

MY TALENT AND SKILLS
My name is Obidigbo Chinemenma. I have always had interest in writing ever since I was little. I discovered my passion for writing in primary school. I started out with little details of dreams I had had, then moved on to short write ups I either made up, heard or saw. As I grew, I realised I had a spiral imagination that was constantly on going and could never be “switched off”. I lived in my mind, in my world, with thoughts that kept evolving on their own from scientific thoughts to abstract thoughts to perspective reasoning and so on with the never quenching thirst to share my stories with people and get people to see from my point of view and to hear my voice and the voice of those I spoke for. This urge to share my stories made me to critically analyse myself in the area of my strengths and my weaknesses and to compare them with famous writers, using them as yard sticks to know if I was moving in the right direction as an upcoming writer. I discovered that writing wasn’t just about talent, but required necessary skills to help me maintain my art.
I began working on my communication skills. I needed to first understand my environment and the people living around me. I started feeding on people’s views or perspectives, their lives and backgrounds, their experiences and histories and digested their opinions and feedbacks on events and incidents and used my write ups as a platform to carry their voices to the masses. I also honed my literary, writing and vocabulary skills. Presently, I am working on my entrepreneurial skills. To create exposure for my work and gather readers and writers as well, I created social media accounts that would help me digitally create awareness for my write ups. Such accounts include my Instagram handle @chimmy_klive, Facebook, WhatsApp and Snapchat.
My plans for my future in writing is to establish a publishing company and a training centre for young aspiring writers. To do this, I first need to get my degree in economics, get a stable job for myself and work towards pulling income to use and invest in my dream company.

Recognizing of talent especially at early age is very essential because to realize ones talent to die off and God hates wasting of resources.
DEFINITION OF TALENT:
The word talent according to English dictionary talent is said to be a desire or inclination for something. It is also a special ability to that someone is born with in doing or to doing something, that is to say talent is a natural ability to be good at something.
According to English dictionary skill is define as having the knowledge or understanding about something and skills are usually acquired. That is to say one can desire to learn one particular skill or the other while talent is special gift from God.
MY TALENT: ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment is a show put on for the enjoyment or amusement for others. I have come to observe that am very good at entertaining, I noticed this during my teenage age when I do lead my church in praises and worship, and also in primary and secondary school I participated very well in drama. While in senior secondary school I was made the social prefect of my school. Many awards were given to me from organizations like schools and churches through entertainment.
SKILL: COOKING AND BAKING
Baking is a method of cooking food that uses prolonged dry heat, normally in an oven, but can also be done in hot ashes, or on hot stones.
Cooking on the other hand is the process of preparing food. Cooking is one of the skills I learnt from my mother and now that I have come of age I can do it even better.
In terms of BAKING I got more knowledge of baking during my junior secondary school when we learnt how to bake various snacks from our Home Economics teacher and now I can now do it better. Since then I have been baking and distributing snacks like chin-chin, sausage roll, doughnut etc to small shops which I use in getting money to solve some of my problems.

HOW I CAN DEVELOP MY TALENT AND SKILL IN OTHER TO FETCH MORE MONEY AND ERADICATE POVERTY IN FUTURE (5-10YEARS).
In the side of my skill I plan to practice more on baking and cooking so as to be more perfect in baking and cooking. I planned that after my degree program I will go for catering school in order to enlighten myself more in baking and cooking.

GETTING OUT OF POVERTY THROUGH TALENT USAGE AND SKILL ACQUISITION
Disagreeing with people, giving my views, making a critical analysis has always intrigued me. Even while growing up as a teenager, I always found myself analysing literally works, works of art, which I thought wasn’t really appropriate to call it a talent. But, with the likes of National and International critics like Chinua Achebe, Wole Soyinka and Chimamanda Adichie I got a better understanding about how it works. Most times I find myself criticising government action, economic policies and normal day to day decisions.
The idea about being a renowned critic has encouraged me to engage in certain activities such as discussions, follow online analysis like the journalist hangout, politics today etc. to practically improve this skill I joined research and analysis group in the department of Economics University of Nigeria Nsukka. The group called Policy Analysis and Research Group helps one to develop a research skill and a very good analytical ability as a economic student and as a future policy maker. My engagement in this group gave me the platform to publicly give view my about on “Why this government shall not increase the minimum wage” through a debate. I believe my desire and aptitude would even increasingly develop as I would have plans to further my studies and seize available opportunities that have to do with critiquing.
“People can be born poor but remaining poor is a disease” like a Lecturer would say. Alleviating household and National poverty is a key point in the Sustainable development goals. Most certainly increasing one’s what every rational man wants to achieve. As a critic I plan on using my skill to serve as a political analyst for my dear country, I would love to be a private analyst, who has a firm that can be called upon to critically analyze business decision. WHAT IS MY SKILL?
Constructive criticism
My skill is a cognitive and socio-emotional skill which is a type of skill involving literacy and ability to understand complex ideas, adapt effectively and navigate interpersonal and social situations effectively. It is more of a cognitive skill type.
Though it didn’t just come in form of constructive criticism, I have the intellectual ability to easily apprehend most social, political, and economical situations and with excellent replies be able to analyze and be able to indicate alternatives or possible solutions to such situations.
Lacking any technical skill I decided to channel my effort into what I had “intellectual quotient”.
What efforts have I applied into to skill?

SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Skill development is the process of identifying your skill gaps and developing and honing these skills.
To reference to the question what efforts I applied into my skill I have;
1. First, I accessed my situation. As of when I was in secondary school my career option was poised towards the sciences. At a point in my life then I started asking myself certain questions such as what do I do best, how good am I, is this the right course option for me. Having looked into these questions, my life, my financial limits, extent and weaknesses, etc. I found out I would be better of studying a discipline which was in line with my skill.
2. Made a decision or rather I outlined a goal. Where do I see myself in years to come? I have set a long time goal for myself which involves establishing my own business involving public consulting, public auditing, consumer product analysis and grading (comparing products to find which is better and referring such to costumers), political analysis, etc mostly jobs connected with consultation.

ACTION PLAN FOR MY SKILL DEVELOPMENT
Having outlined my goals and known my extents and weaknesses, I did draw a development plan and of course been into some of these activities and they are;
1. Choose Economics as my discipline After asking myself career questions I decided to drop my dreams aligned with the sciences and switched to commercial and economics as the discipline. This decision was so because it is aligned with my skill and also skill development in terms of entrepreneurship. It comes naturally with constructive thinking.
2. Mentorship
Back in my secondary school days I did have two mentors; Dr. Fidelis Onyeme and Sir Christian who were both my economics teachers, vice principal and H.O.D. of vocationals respectively. Because of distance my relationship with them have cut short so I involve myself in browsing about some people and their works.
3. In-depth research and break in steps (practice) Time to time I do search n things related to the whole stuff. On my social media platforms I do follow politicians, political groups, political and economic analysts, and also I do follow up on world news as it is very necessary to be updated on world happenings and on my own try to analyze the. On the other hand I sometimes try practicing on lucid problems and current situations. At times I do use my friends as ideal situations or options. I also do attend PARG and ECOPRESS meetings though I’m not a member.

HOW DO I MAKE MONEY WITH MY SKILL
The endgame is to have a business of mine which centers on problem solving and consultation. If the dream comes to pass I stand the chance of making money using this skill.

WHAT IS A TALENT?
A talent is a natural ability to do or be skilled at something especially without being taught.
WHAT IS MY TALENT?
My talent is the art of dressmaking and design. At a young teenage age I noticed I had the talent of dressmaking and design. I could cut pieces of used cloth into shapes of blouses shirt skirt and trousers and add designs to them. Over the years, my mother enrolled me in a fashion school to improve my skills at my place of apprenticeship, I was fast at learning. I could easily decide what design to be put on a cloth be it weaving, embroidery, pearl or any other form of design. I could turn a mistake into another design to please customers. My opinion was always needed in making clothing design and the customers were always pleased with what I prepared for them even if it wasn’t their original idea.
HOW DO I IMPROVE MY TALENT?
Although I had the talent to imaging clothing styles and design and sew them well, my enrollment in the fashion school was to improve and perfect that talent. The art of dressmaking and design requires continuity, with the process and keeping in touch with fashion trends for success. Hard work and determination as well as finance will help me improve and perfect my skills. Also teaching others makes me learn more thus helping me develop my talent. As an undergraduate in the university, I have partially indulged myself in dressmaking and design to make ends meet. I have often received contracts from schools to sew uniforms for them, wedding candidates to sew bridal train for them and many more. Even my fellow students patronize me. I can also meet certain needs of some members of my family through this thereby alleviating poverty in my family.
Through this talent I have attracted lots of people who like my works, patronize them or wish to learn from me. I wish to open my own fashion home. Also to train youths to be efficient and self-employed. My venture into entrepreneurship will provide jobs for already learned dressmakers and provide empowerment for my apprentices.
CONCLUSION
In summary, the talent of dressmaking and design has provided self-employment for me and I do not have to rely solely on my family for finance and support but to help with my fair contributions thereby alleviating poverty in my home. I do believe that with hard work and determination as well as finance for capital I can open my own fashion home. This will lead to job creation and empowerment for youth hence it will alleviate poverty in my society.

What is talent? This question is a very important one to analyze, because most times people tend to misunderstand that word by misplacing it with skill. So talent which can also be called a gift or an aptitude is an ability that someone was born, it is also a natural ability to be good at something, especially without taught .WHILE
Skill means to known or have a discernment about something , or in abroad sense ,the ability to have personal or practical difference in matters.
AS a young child I have always have love for COOKING and BEAUTY/FASHION. Fashion does not just exist, it lives. How you dress can interpret how a person feels, how their day went, or what lifestyle they live. I've always wanted to help women enhance their natural beauty. I can vividly remember how I use to wake up early in the morning just to bath and look good before people wakes up, just how I love good looks. I always pick up small tins and cook alongside my mum, I also gather my fellow kids just to make meals with sand and grass, I also remember painting my legs one time with mum’s cortex , and later received the beating of my life, I laugh when I remember this things . Little did she know that her little girl was building her talent. As I grew I found out that my passion for cooking and beauty fashion increased, I took the role of cooking in the house. I have great potential within me and The Fashion Institute of Technology is the perfect place for me to broaden my knowledge and apply my skills to grow within the fashion industry
There are so many reasons I love to cook, cooking is one of those things that just comes to me naturally even without trying too hard, and I think I inherited, because I can cook almost anything and get it on the first try, much like my Father. But the main reason I love to cook is because it keeps me stress free. For example when I am cooking I have very little time to think, because the cooking is challenging my mind and taking my mind off the stress of everyday life especially the stress I’m currently facing in school.

Here in the University, I make money from my fellow students, in that I render my services to them, I take care of there pedicure and manicure and I give them an outstanding look, this helps them stay liquid always. I have also taken my talen to the next level, by taking my publicity to social media.. For example, I created an Instagram handle bearing the name ONYX BEAUTY /FASHION WORLD. Ialso have the hope of expanding my talen after my university education, by building a spar, where will make people's beauty and fashion my priority.
I also want to further my cooking talent to the next level by building a cateringcomplex, where people can come and request for the services of food caring for their occasions, I will also make the provisions to train and empower youths of the societ. I that way, I will not only eradicate poverty for my household and I, but I will liberate some many others from poverty in such ay, I will ad to the development of the Economy.

I have the talent of teaching. This I discovered when I was 8 years old, I always see myself in dreams when I am a teacher. Whenever I teach, I fill very happy. Also people around me say that whenever I am teaching someone, that I detail what I teach in a way that the person will understand it. That was how I found out that I have the talent of teaching
SINGING
The talent of singing is a generational talent in my lineage. I love singing, it makes me happy. I have been told that I have a nice voice in several occasions and I know that it is true because I do listen to my voice.

I have learnt various trades from my parents and my siblings. My father was trader who sold kitchen equipment, my mother was also a trader who owned a food stuff store, three of my siblings are dealers in phone and phone accessories and my elder sister own a boutique. All the businesses that my family members do, I can do all of them very well.

In 3 years to come, I will be through with NYSC and will open a lesson centre for SSCE AND JAMB. Then, when I get a reasonable amount of money, I will open a boutique and if I get a white collar job, I will be managing my businesses and also do the job for which I will be employed to do.

Talent can be defined as a natural ability or quality. It can also be defined as a person who possesses unusual innate ability in some field or activity. While skill is an ability that has been acquired by training. It can also be an ability to produce solutions in some problem domain.
I’ll start by telling you how I discovered my talent and skills, for my talent I’m still discovering it but I can draw imaginative drawing with different designs of fashion. I started drawing since I was a kid even till now, I use the drawing sometimes to ease myself or calm my nerves down. Even if they aren’t too fine when I draw I feel too happy because I get to create stories in my head and imagine a lot about what I just drew. For my skills I know how to make hair very well. When I was in secondary school, a boarding school though I watched people who use to make hair make hair for people because then in my secondary school if you can’t make someone’s hair no one will make your hair, it was a do and I do you something .So you have to go and pay a huge amount of money for your hair to be made. I had to cut my hair from jss1 – jss3 because I wasn’t ready to make people hair but when I entered ss1 I saw that all my mates were making their hair and was looking neat and fine I had to learn how to make hair, even when I get home although I wasn’t good yet I will beg my mum so I will use hair and learn then at my ss1 second term I started making people hair and they started making my own too.
After school I intend to start making people hair and be getting little money from it. When I get upto the amount I’ll need to open a shop and also name my business I’ll open a beauty salon where I will be able to make hair n also sell clothes. With my drawing talent I’ll draw different fashion styles and also produce clothes, the more I get money the business the more I establish the business till it is known world wide.

For example, producers of a movie might recruit local talent, actors and actors who live nearby, to stand in as extra in a film. We have some examples of talents such as public speaking, writing, singing , dancing, drawing, cooking, sporting, acting, praying, self-management, networking, and so many of them. Talking about skill, skill is the capacity to do something well, techniques or ability. Skills are usually acquired or learned, as to oppose to abilities, which are often thought of as innate.

Now, speaking about my short term plans for creating wealth, I would say for the next five years, that I would want to go further in developing myself, getting to learn more things, that I don’t already know, delving into the world of programming such as python, java, C++ and so on, then after that rendering my Talent/Skill set to those who are in need of them for a considerable amount of payment thereby adding my own quota, to the development of the Nigerian economy.

TALENT is God given. Talent is not skill. A skill is developed by practicing but talent is inborn. The question is how do we identify our various talents and what do we achieve with these talents when we discover them? Mind you, every human is born with a talent but not every human discover their talents before they die!
A skill is the capability to carry out a task efficiently and effectively with a given amount of time, energy or both while, talents are natural abilities that becomes a skill when properly developed and harnessed. Skills acquisition are needed for individual and national development. Borrowing from Walter Rodney (1972:1) definition of development as "increased skill and capacity, greater freedom, creativity, self-discipline, responsibility and material well-being", it is necessary to distinguish between hard and soft skills. Both skill sets are complementary and relevant to the overall development of an individual. Hard skills are specific knowledge and abilities that are learned through education or training. Examples include ICT skills, artisanship etc. Soft skills on the other hand are people skills that derives from personality traits and they are usually not quantifiable unlike hard skills. Examples include communication skills, emotional quotient etc.
FOOTBALL
I loved the game of football right from when I was still very much little. Any time I see a group of children usually boys playing the game of football, I am usually envious of them. My request to join them is usually constants declined owing to the fact that I am a girl. After so many denials, I was opportune to visit my mum’s village one weekend like that, fortunately for me, I met a group of boys and girls playing football, I requested to join them and my request was granted. I was overjoyed when they agreed could join them to make up for their shortage in player. I quickly ran inside and put on my playing boot and rushed out to join them. I was very happy because it was my first time to play a real football with real opponents. After that day, during weekends I usually visit my mum’s village to join them in training. This went on and on until I entered secondary school. I joined the female football team and further developed my skill. When I gained admission into the higher institution, it was not difficult for me to adapt. Before long, I was nominated to join the faculty team that would participate in Ozumba’s cup and after the tournament I came back with a gold medallion of honour. I also participated in my faculty’s inter-departmental football tournament of which I also came back with a gold medallion as well. Over the years, I have grown to love the football game and I have also grown to be good at it both at the goal post and in the field of play.
This skill can generate income for me in the sense that if I engage in rigorous football training, it will get to a point that I can use my skills and experience that I have gathered in both faculty and departmental football matches to make way for me to the national level. I strongly believe that the skill will yield income for me within 5-10years if I relentlessly work towards it.

I have passion for cooking while I was growing as a teenager, i notice that when ever I made food for my parents they enjoyed it so my passion for cooking kept on increasing. I started cooking when I was in primary six, back then my siblings will say because I like eating food so i should prepare food for myself and my siblings.
With my attitude towards food so I developed great passion for cooking different varieties of food. As years go's by I had to start learning from experts and going for outdoor cooking with them and make money from it. Apart from making of money, learnt how to prepare different types of meals and different methods of cooking them.
Apart from this cooking stuff. After my first degree program, I went into fashion and designing where am learning how to make feet wears like shoes,Sandals which I use carton papers to create design's. I started it last year but is only when we are on holidays that I attain classes for it but for now I can make babies wears and sandals for myself.

A few days ago the national dailies had it that president Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the minimum wage bill, this led to sporadic celebrations amongst civil servants and employees of private institutions, but the story has not always been nice especially during the dip in oil prices that rocked the nation between 2015 – 2017, at a point most states were owing salaries while some were owing more than a year salary with the highlight of the scenario coming when it was reported that a level 16 civil servant in state kogi state Committed suicide because he couldn’t afford to take care of his wife and newly born children, that’s how bad it got.
After the rude economic shock like that, Nigerians began to wake up to the realization that it is no longer enough to spend over a decade in school only to graduate and then start moving from office to office searching for the dream job. As much as I value education and the opportunities that comes with it, it would be a border line suicide to rely solely on a monthly pay check especially in the society we find ourselves in. A good look at the Forbes list of Richest individuals in the world would show that the wealthiest amongst us are not people who wait for the end of the month to get alerts but individuals who are innovative and enterprising enough to push boundaries and have learnt how to use well-ton skill to make a fortune for themselves. This is not just about the rich, I remember a few years back when I was in SSS 3, there was this young man who worked as a lab assistant in a local clinic and also coupled that with running a salon which he owned, even if the chief medical director of the clinic wakes up on the wrong side of his or her bed and decides to sack him, he still has his salon to sustain him. This particular scenario struck a chord in me and made me to think, what talent of mine I can earn a living from so as so to be well to do tomorrow.
After a thorough self-examination, I realized that amongst all skill and talents I have, Acting is the only talent that will to a large extent bring money to my pocket. Acting has been around for quite a while starting from the era of mimicking to the present age where profits from movies can rise to over a billion naira. The movie industry in Nigeria popularly known as Nollywood started booking at the tail end of the 20th century and it has not looked back ever since with its latest success coming when Netflix bought “lionheart”, a movie directed by one of Nigeria most illustrious actresses Genevieve Nnaji.
Personally, I believe that I can't go from been an unknown actor to an A-list actor overnight, that is why I spend a lot of time developing myself and getting contacts, preparing myself on how after graduation to go for auditions for a role and set on my path to greatness. Gift of making people laugh, feel relieved and happy
This is mostly what everybody knows me for, people enjoy staying with me, in short, with me, your problem is temporally forgotten. I developed the special skill of reading peoples mind so as to find out what is going on in their mind and be able to convey their thought out in a laughable manner.
Gift of leadership skill
This has been manifesting in my life since I was born. In my primary school, I was appointed Senior perfect. I was appointed by the school authority as the class prefect of my class in my J.S.S 3. I was democratically elected again as the senior prefect in my S.S 2. Here in University of Nigeria Nsukka, I am currently serving as the financial secretary to the prestigious Faculty of Education all to the glory of God and warming up for the office of the faculty president. I have developed many leadership skills such as ability to influence people’s action both by words and actions, ability to listen to all persons, ability to remain calm even when insulted by others at the cost of serving them, ability to withstand pressure especially during the pressing times and so many others.

Makeup is a very confusing and difficult thing to do but thanks to the makeup school I attended, I was taught that there are many ways to go around and still arrive at a glowing work (face-beat).

SKILL I’VE ESTABLISHED
With all these aside, I acquired a certain skill that I think would go a long way for me. A certain friend of mine told me, “most photographers don’t know the real deal in photography yet and that is why they are still where they are today.” I took my time to ponder on this and this inner vibe to go into photography kept pushing me. it is a really stressful work and very expensive I must say because to get a quality camera, lightening and other props cost a whole lot of money which is not technically forth coming right now but I have come to understand that life is a step by step process and coupled with the zeal to succeed, I must make it work.

HOW I INTEND TO MAKE WEALTH WITH MY SKILLS AND TALENT
Considering how bad the Nigeria economy has become, venturing into a business using my talent has really sustained me financially, especially bridal make-up. It pays so well and celebrity makeover too. Most people believe when you’re naturally good at something you’re talented or gifted am proud to say am one of those people. I write, poetry to be specific it came to me as a surprise I have always loved reading novels,plays and poetry works like zulu sofala’s wedlock of the gods, Night by Wole Soyinka, Beware,Soul Brother, by Chinua Achebe caught my attention how a mere human could write out of his imagination using words that had little or nothing to do with the scene to express it so perfectly
After reading a piece by Kahil Gibran The Wise king I decided to write something at first I didn’t know where to start or what to write about I finally decided to write about my mood to see if I could pen it down it took time and alot of thinking but I was able to do something I was satisfied with what I did though it was too straight forward and lacked creativity I cheered myself up that I just began my journey into poetry.
I kept on writing based on emotions and got tired I wanted to do something more; something out of the box and tried writing about wife battering I was very happy aftr I was done it was very good to me and I was satisfied with what I did below is a sample its titled ‘Faceless’.

MY TALENT
My talent is cooking. Funny as it may sound but it’s what I love doing. I was quite young when I discovered how to cook, it is something I inherited from my grandmother, nobody taught me how to cook. I sometimes just want to try new recipe, make something different and it turns out good. I intend to open a café immediately after school till I get something doing, then I can hire a manager that will be managing my café while I work.

 I love cooking and I have passion for tailoring. Here in school, I sell moi-moi, though not always since this semester because of school stress, I have limited it to only weekends. From the proceeds of the sales, I buy textbooks and take care of myself the little way I can.
 I intend to have my own café (Nicky’s cafe), where I will be selling delicacies ranging from breakfast,brunch,lunch and dinner, I will a employ people who will be helping in the business.

 I intend to also purse my tailoring career, I intend to have a fashion house. Even though am learning how to sow female wears, I will employ people that will help in sowing of male wears. By so doing am not just creating wealth for myself but also helping others develop their talent and also creating wealth for themselves.

 As soon as am able to carry out my dreams, unemployment and poverty will become history.

Though I’m still acquiring more skills, I’ve been opportune to learn few skills.
Firstly, I am a welder. My dad is Metal Engineer. He construct iron works like gates, doors, windows, chairs, tables and other iron-related products. I was able to acquire this skill because I often follow my dad to his work place each time school was not in session/when school is on break. This advanced my knowledge because I was privileged to learn things I never knew before both from him and from the people around our work-place. As it stands now, when school is on break, my dad can engage on a business trip and I will manage the activities in our workshop effectively and efficiently. It really took me time to master most of the things in metal works because I was going to school and at the same time; learning the welding work.
Secondly, I am also a marketer. I was groomed in marketing of products when I finished my two years National Diploma Programme at the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu. It’s a polytechnic institution situated on the Eastern part of Nigeria. I learnt the marketing skill during my Industrial Training (I.T.) Programme which was one of academic requirements of a student for the person to come back for a Higher National Diploma Programme or to go for a Direct Entry into any other institution. I learnt many packages like advertising, product promotion, product-reselling and other things.
Using these skills I acquired to get myself out of poverty; here in school, I market products like Textbooks, Peanut, Biros and other things. After each marketing, I get paid for my services and make money out of it. When I receive my payment, I use part of the money to tackle some of my immediate needs like buying of textbooks, paying of faculty and departmental dues and other petty expenses. The other part of it I will save at the bank for future purposes.
As for the metal work I engage myself with when school is not in session, it has been a very big source of income to myself and my family.

Talent is an in-born thing. It is something that is in us but we discover them with time as we grow. Some people discover their talent at a very young age while others discover theirs when they become teenagers.
Well talking about myself, I have discovered some of my talents. Why I used “some of my talents” is because I strongly believe that a greater part of me is yet to be unravelled. From the title I have discovered about myself, one is I have good comedy skills. This I discovered sometime around 2010 during a feast in my secondary and I took up the ‘Master of Ceremony” role. It wasn’t really easy at first but as the feast went on, I owned the stage. At the end of the feast, I got a warm handshake from my school principal; commending me for a job well done. Well, I was really encouraged because my principal’s handshake is not something that comes so easily like that.
After that event, I continued with the Master of Ceremony work. In 2012, after my graduation, I did the Master of Ceremony work again at my aunt's traditional marriage. I am also an artist, a pencil artist. I draw life objects and portraits. Actually, I discovered my drawing talent in my JSS3 when I first drew myself and framed it. After that, I drew my Parents, my uncle and my choirmaster. Well, ever since then, pencil drawing has been my thing. My dad gave me #5000 in appreciation for my wonderful artwork and also to motivate me to keep up the good work.
Another talent I have discovered about myself is singing. I have been since my Junior Secondary school days. My then school choir helped me in grooming my singing styles and techniques because I am a chorister. Even till today, I still sing because here in UNN, I’m still a chorister and I sing every Sunday at St. Peters’ Chaplaincy.
So far so good, these are the talents I have discovered in my life and I still believe that there are other ones still dormant yet to be awakened. When I do the “Master of Ceremony” work, I get paid for my services. With the payment I receive, I take care of my needs and save the rest for future purposes.
Being an artist has taken me to places where I never expected I would go. However, for every art work I produce, I get paid(except for the arts I gift out to my friends and relations). I get drawing contracts and when I finish the artwork, I get paid for my work. With the payment, I can save part of it, use part of it to procure more of my art materials and also tackle my immediate needs.
The singing aspect yield small income compared the income I receive from my drawing and MC talents. Being a chorister has really helped me a lot. Most times, choristers are invited to sing in activities like weddings, concerts and music shows and we get paid for our rendition of songs. We also engage in competitions and when we emerge as the winner in any competition, there is a payment for that.
The income I receive from these my talents can help me take care of my immediate pressing needs and also, part of the income saved can be used for futuristic purposes.

Talent which means a natural ability to be good at something, especially without being taught while skill means to have personal or practical knowledge about something, the capacity to do something well; technique, ability. Skills are usually acquired or learned, as opposed to abilities which are often thought of an innate.
Back then when I was much younger when you ask me what my talent was, I will tell you I don't have one, but growing up got me enlightened, since I was engaged in things that brought me out from darkness to lime light. Writing of piece, Acting and Dancing were my first discovery that got me exposed in my community. Other things include hair making. Currently am learning fashion design which after school it will make me self employed even at the short run and long run. Also, with the help of sponsors and mentors who will make my firm grow, I will use the opportunity to solve the problem of nakedness among people starting with children and insane people.

MY TALENT
My talent is hair dressing; I discovered it when I was growing up. To me hair dressing is more like a talent than a skill, reason is because I discovered it when I was little and even started practicing it even without undergoing any form of training concerning it. I find out that I have passion as well as derive joy in making my younger sister’s hair and by doing so I started improving in that aspect, now that I have grown up, I can possibly braid any type of braiding, fix any type of weavon and so on. In the side of skill, I have developed some extraordinary skills that are not connected to my core talents. One of the skills is “BAKING”.
Baking can be seen as a food cooking method that uses prolonged dry heat by convection rather than by thermal radiation normally in an oven but also in hot ashes. A skill requires investment of a lot of time for it. To me baking is a skill because I invested my time in learning it. It was in the year 2014, when I travelled to port-Harcourt that I learn how to bake cake and other snacks from. This talent is really a good one to me because when I teach, people comprehend easily. Secondly, through my business skills, I have by the grace of God become an entrepreneur. I developed this skill of entrepreneurship 3 years ago and it has been putting enough food on my table. Talent is a beautiful thing to witness.  It is a gift that someone is born with and should be treasured and appreciated.  Adults love to look at their child with musical or athletic talent and predict how far that talent will take them.  Talent fuels dreams and creates possibilities but it is not the magic pill for success.
The identification of one’s talent is one thing another is to put your talent to work which leads us to the skill and output is what we call wealth
I identified my talent in the expression of my feelings and emotions through drawing and paintings. I am an artist. Then it became a medium of communication from my inner mind to the outside world. Making painting and drawing of images for people creates an avenue for me to create wealth. I love my talent because it’s very lucrative and interesting. I went further to get more out it by skill I found myself in fashion line where I did make sketches of outfit and am being paid for it, people come to me for styles. Then another which is very important as a student is my communication skills being reading, writing and listening which am very good at.

I loved creative arts (the combination of colours, texts, shapes etc for creating an art work) but at a point, I couldn't go into it but it led me to the skill that I've developed to a great extent. My talent about creative arts drove me into Photography and Graphics designing. I know I have a long way to go but to some extent, I've developed my Graphics designing skills. My identified talent is CREATIVITY that finds expression through my skills to make it unique.

Answer: Sir, I intend to develop what I've explained above to create wealth for me in the short run or main time by making an investment in my photography business. I have a camera, I take shots but it has poor quality because the camera is not professional, so I can't take professional outdoor shots which has made me unable to compete in the labour market. So I need a capital to investment in my photography business.

Answer: The talent I've developed is the Graphics designing(which is very broad), the skill I'm developing is photo editing and photography whose capital is ₦251,000 and the one lying dormant is Cinematography. Yes, sometime in the future, I'll go into cinematography and video editing.
For now, I'll need this capital to start up immediately because there's a long way to go, I need to help myself in school, my younger ones, the Media department where I head in church etc.

At a tender age of (13 ) thirteen, I was enrolled into the PEPSI FOOTBALL ACADEMY KADUNA, NIG. My performance aroused the interest of the head coach of the under-13 team. My skills on the pitch grew rapidly by the grace of God and with the help of my coaches. I was even enrolled into after hours training just to improve on my skills. But it was my responsibility to fan the sparks into flames of success. It was not easy. But I received tremendous support from my Dad and Mum despite financial constrainsLater on in my football career, I was among players chosen to represent Nigeria in the upcoming world PEPSI WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP in England after a rigorous selection process, God made it possible for me to be chosen. This happened in march, 2005 when I was still in my SS1 (one) at brain trust college Kaduna. The modality of talent and skill is most often confused because of how the both concept are used interchangeably. Talent and skill are quite different from each other and has different meaning and ways it should be used in a course of discussion. To render justice to this discussion talent and skill will be discussed separately before I delve into the main topic matter. Talent is an inborn quality within a person. Most often it could be hidden and needs recognition at the right time. It can be improved over time if efforts are made in the right direction. Everyone is born with a special quality; that is talent; a person can posses talent in dancing, singing, acting, swimming, counseling, painting but will need to learn more skill on the same talent for more advancement. Talent is an ability that someone is born with. Skill is referred to as the ability or an expertise in performing a task, obtained by a person through systematic learning, practice or experience. It is the outcome of continuous efforts and improvements that makes one to gain proficiency on a particular talent. Skill enables you to perform a task efficiently. As there are no criteria for acquiring skills, it can be practiced by any person as much as you’re focused but it requires lots of hard work, time and other resources of the person to develop it effectively. A skill is the ability to carry out a task with determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both.
MY TALENT AND SKILL:
My talent and skill as a focus of discussion, basically am talented in dancing while my acquired skill is baking. I will hereby focus on baking which is the one I want to make a living through.
First and foremost, I started learning baking back then in secondary school. When I got admission into the university, my holiday period is always used to learn further on how to perfect baking. Haven known fully well that Nigeria is battling with high rate of unemployment, i will save up my National Youth Service Allowance that will be when I must have graduated and gone for service. I will use the amount of money saved to purchase some baking materials I don’t have currently and also source for family and friends help in doing that. Thus I will further rent a shop in a strategic place within Enugu or River State to start up the baking fully. At this point, I can be able to make more money and open other outlets both in urban and rural areas. This will go a long way in creating employment and wealth to the host communities because people will be employed to work in my Bakerey, different kinds of food will be produce like bread, cake, chin chin, chips etc.

When I was a little kid, I used to help my mum in the kitchen. She would always make my favorite dishes. Watching her cook since I was a kid, made me want to try out. So here I am writing what inspires me to cook and how cooking can generate income for me. I find cooking as very relaxing task to be engaged in. Hunting through the refrigerator, collecting the ingredients, preparing them and putting them together to make something delicious puts me in a much relaxed mood than sitting and watching movie. I have never felt stressed while cooking. Among the changes I made in my life, to spur my love for cooking, non may be more significant than the decision to start using fresh ingredients whenever possible. Once I began replacing dried spices with fresh ingredients ( onion, garlic, ginger) the flavor of my meal improved dramatically and so is my confidence and enjoyment.
My love for cooking has made me look into other in the traditional dishes. Learning how to make them and teaching them how to make my traditional dishes like a friend of mine from the south precisely etik taught me how to make the popular "afang south" which is among the etiks. More so, I learnt several delicious delicacies from the social media, Instagram to be precise I follow so many culinary shows and contest like the popular " knorr chef" which is hold every year. Most at times I try making the dishes I see online, sometimes they come out well other times it's manageable. Cooking is an art full of creativity, where you dance in your kitchen, mix your imagination with a twist and put together a delicious meal.
I very much enjoy cooking and do it well and always hear strong compliments on my cooking motivates me to cook even better next time. As my mom always say, cooking is a way to express your love to your family members in an edible manner. Cooking with love provides food for the soul.

The realization of my talent in music rose when I first partook in a school singing group while in the junior secondary school. We were randomly selected to write songs during weekends and bring it for corrections and as I see myself writing I felt happy because it became one way I can express my feelings/emotion, I also found out that it was just flowing with ease.
When I performed those written songs for close friends in the street, they loved it and asked me to keep it up and take it very serious believing that one day it will take me far.
I wrote my first official song while in Senior Secondary School 1(SSS 1) And had to record it late during the SSS 2(Senior Secondary School 2) and had to record it late during the SSS 2 because of cost constraint. Finally the song was released and I got to let some close friends and relatives listen to it before promoting it via the radio station and social media platforms in order to get a larger audience/fans , So far so good I have been favored & graced because in all the events I have performed, people feel happy and good comments kept coming based on my song and performance skill because I combine it with dancing as it is my first discovered talent in life.

(eg) of skills are sewing, makeup, etc. kly developing talent is makeup, its something I have always loved doing right from secondary school till date, I have never make girls up for their birthday photo shoots, matriculcttions and pageantry competition.
From my first year in UNN I have always made money from making girls up though not so much money because I still don’t have the complete makeup set. I have so much plans for this talent of mine first I would love to develop it more by applying and attending a makeup tutorial in which after two months or a month of training you will be given a makeup box and some makeup sets. If I achieve this I will be able to make more money and be able to buy other makeup things and complete the box with a complete makeup box I will be able to go for Bridal makeup where I will be paid not less than # 70,000 per job. I will seally love to achieve this now that I am still in school that way will have enough customers and be able to make a name for myself before leaving school.
Then when I finally leave school I will love to open a makeup shop where people can come on a daily basis for their makeup and also buy their makeup products. Because I will love to sell makeup products too.

The act of doing business has been what I have engaged in since my young age. I discovered my business ability at a very tender age probably at the age of 4 or less, reason might be because I am the last born in my family and spend so much time in my mum’s business place. As I grow up, the acumen to do business keep growing with me and till date am still heading my brother’s business and I look forward to having my own business anytime soon before or after graduation.
On the other hand, I have developed cooking skill. On the quest to eliminate poverty and enhance living standard in my family, I joined catering company during my secondary school days and ever since then has developed a good skill and love for cooking and events.
This special skill has promoted me to the post of assistant manager in my company and has made me travel to almost all the states in Nigeria (especially southern).
Conclusively, in the long run, I wish to have my own catering group/company alongside my business and make life more comfortable. Over the years, u have discovered that I was gifted with the talent of playing football and acting. I started playing football as a teenager and I have represented my school and state in so many football tournament like shell cup and anambra fa cup and the grace of God I'm still doing that in the university. With my foresight ability, creativity and strength, I have been able to play in all the midfield positions in football.
I intend to develop my football talent by training and practicing regularly because hardwork they say beats talent, so I intend to working Hard in other to attain the maximum fitness I need to excell in football because for a player to give his best or perform well in the field of play he must be 100% fit. I also intend to develop my football talent by fearuring regularly in football competitions in school and also going for trials, through that I migh get scouted and signed to a good football club that will be paying me well. Talent is the skill that someone has to do something very well. It is an ability that someone is born with. This means that a talent is having a unique gift, a natural aptitude.
Skill is a type of work or activity which requires special training and knowledge. Skill is the knowledge and ability that enables someone to do something well.
Development is a process that creates growth, progress, positive change or the addition of physical, economic, environmental, social and demographic components.
My identified talent and skills is poultry management and animal feeds production.
Poultry
Poultry means domestic fowl in a large number and this includes: ducks, hens, geese turkeys etc. and these are kept for eating or form laying eggs.
My intension to develop my talent and skills as a poultry manager is to produce poultry meat in abundance using the best poultry species and adopting the latest poultry methods so that in 5 to 10 years my talent and skills will help to create wealth and alleviate poverty in my local government in particular and the country at large.
Under this my intension, I will specialized in the following products:
Egg production and distribution.
Broiler production.
Rearing of parent stocks for production of table eggs.
Animal feeds production.
What motivated me to develop this talent and skill includes the following:-

The faces of the hen will be dried and re-cycled as organic manure.
It will create job opportunities to the local people.
Poultry eggs have several health promotions and this makes it easily marketable across the nation.
It manages to balance domestic meat shortage.

Despite being the only protein food with 100% biological value, eggs cost lower than other protein sources and even sells faster. This is due to the low cost of government permit in the business of the farm.
Summary
Poultry production has relatively short generation interval thus guaranteeing quick returns, the rich nutritional values of poultry gives them an edge over other livestock products, poultry farming requires small portion of land compared to other livestock farming.

I can make omo, soap, liquid soap, etc.
In 2-5 years I will have a big production company where I can be manufacturing all this and also have trainee by this poverty is eradicated.
FARMING SKILL
My father is a good farmer, and we all as his children acquired this skill of farming perfectly and can manage many farming business e.g poultry farming, piggery farming, cattle rearing etc.
If given the capital and all it takes I desire to have a big farm that will be bigger than my father’s farm in the next 5 years by Gods grace. I can also work in most of this farm because of the skill gathered so far.
BEAD MAKING SKILL
I can make beads like nickels, bags, earrings etc. In less than 5 years time I wish to have a big shop where I can make and sell these items and get huge amount of money. I can also work in bead making company.
BINDING BOOKS
I acquired this skill when I went for IT at Nnamdi Azikeiwe Library at binding section of the library and this has given me the ability to restore the condition of some of the information materials to its normal or original condition.
With this knowledge I can be binding project for student and binding other information materials in hard copy. In next 5 years I can establish a big binding company and employ many people in the company by this poverty is totally away from them.
COMPUTER OPERATOR
I acquired computer skill since 2007 after my Junior Secondary School Examination at Avia Computer Center Obollo-Afor. God have blessed me so much with this skill. I have worked in many Caber Café like Chidubem computer center obollo-afor, I was made the teacher and manger of Fabs Construction, Computer Center Obollo-afor and Obyno telecommunication company.
During this experiences I was outstanding among all the workers in these company, with this I believe so much that in the next 3-5years to come I will establish and develop my own caber cafe in a way that it will be the best in the whole of Enugu-State and beyond. It is my desire to employ people who will work under me because am going to break every wall of poverty in my generation through this. I will also establish a training center for people both young and old. I also seek to be employed in school, company, establishment etc any organization that has to do with computer operation.

A skill is the ability to carry out a task with determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both. While talent is the natural ability to do something well.They could also be said to be an innate ability to carry out or perform a particular task with minimal difficulty.

For me, my talent is being able to learn how to do things easily. Growing up, I attended a primary school where we did a lot of arts and craft, and more often than not, my craft works were almost always one of the best in my class. I’ve discovered that I can get really creative with my hands just by watching a YouTube video, or reading a magazine, or even watching someone do something in front of me. After discovering this talent of mine, I’ve been able to develop some very useful skills based on that.

Of all the skills I’ve developed, my favorite is tailoring. Like I said, I learn a lot just buy watching a video or reading a magazine, and in the past few years I’ve been finding myself doing a lot on research on tailoring and designing. At first it was just a hobby. I just enjoyed watching how people could put together pieces of cloth to make up a fancy dress or outfit. Then I realized that this was something I could go into, and enjoy. So I started watching more videos and reading more magazines. After a while, I decided to get serious, so I told my parents to allow me develop this skill. After a few phone calls, I got a private tailor to help me perfect this skill of mine. And so far, it has been successful, as I develop this my skill everyday that passes.

Another skill I developed is cooking and baking. As a student, I spend a lot of time not on social media, but on this app called Pinterest. Well, it’s actually a kind of social media, but not like your typical WhatsApp and Instagram and Snapchat. It’s actually more useful. On Pinterest, I get a lot of ideas on how to do different things. Let’s take cooking and baking for example. I like watching videos on Pinterest on how to prepare different kinds of meals. And usually, after watching, I would try some of the recipes (at least the ones I could ‘afford’ out of my own pocket). For me, it was just a perfect way to keep myself busy.

With these few skills of mine, I’ve been able to think of few ways to create wealth for myself in the future as an entrepreneur. With the skills I’ve developed in tailoring, I’ve decided to start up a fashion line, my own trend. I’ve also decided to maybe open up a tailoring school where I could also teach others how to develop this skill. My SKILL
I am good at drawing and interior design. That is, I have developed drawing and interior design as skills. I certainly made my room looks pretty nice. These skills are needed as I pursue the talent of fashion designing. A strong drawing skill, for example, is a must in fashion, as designers need to be able to take a concept and get it down on paper.
I, developed these skills in the following ways:
I take classes to practice drawing ball gowns, dresses, pants or whichever garments I envision myself designing
Studying up on interior design
Mess around with computer programs for interior design
Cultivating an awesome interest
Fashion designers need not only the ability to draw but also a good eye for detail. For example, how does one envision the pleats falling on a skirt or a blouse cinching at the waist? It is often the detail that makes a product unique, so this skill cannot be overlooked, even if one is great at visualizing and drawing. Design requires a good sense of texture, color, and fabric. For example, one needed to know whether a garment would work best in silk chiffon or another material. One would also need to know which combinations of colors will be most flattering on a piece of clothing. It is these differences that make a design stand out.

According to the Merriam Webster dictionary, a talent is a special ability that allows someone to do something well while Oxford Learners Dictionary defines talent as having natural ability to do something well. My talent is cooking. Yes, I said cooking. I enjoy it not only when am hungry or for the love of food, I do it because cooking piqued my interest at an early age when my responsibilities in the kitchen were geared at helping my mother as the first of two male children. I enjoy the creation of new flavours, dishes and feel at home in the kitchen. It is scarcely heard of in our society today that a male child or man takes an interest in the affairs of the Kitchen which he was shielded from at an earlier age.
I honed my culinary skills at the feet of my mother who is a stupendous cook and have since deputized for her numerously in the kitchen as she balances or juggles other responsibilities. Presently my field of education is far reaching from my talent. Practically, I have had spells in the kitchen under various stewards employed in restaurants and hotel and can claim to have picked up a few things in the kitchen. My talent is put to test everyday as I am able to feed not only myself with a variety of meals but others. Looking ahead, the immediate short term goal would be to go for more culinary courses during my holiday/ pass-time from school in a bid to further improve myself. I haven’t cooked in commercial or large quantities that often, so I would be trying to fine tune that aspect.
I see myself working part time while I further my education (M.Sc) in the next 3-5 years. Opening a restaurant is an objective of mine whether catering for it/ funding it. CODING AND PROGRAMMING AS A SKILL.

Coding is basically the process of creating codes from one language to another one.  It can also be called as a subset of Programming since it actually implements the initial steps of Programming. It involves writing codes in different languages as instructed. The machine can’t interact with human communications and it only understands the machine code which is the binary language. So, the main work of a coder is to translate the requirements into machine understandable language. This is the initial step of developing a software product.
Programming is the process of developing an executable machine level program which can be implemented without any error. It is the process of formally writing codes so that the human inputs and corresponding machine outputs remain in sync. Creating code is the beginning steps and then programming is used to analyze and implement the same and produce the proper machine level output.

Poverty talent and skill.
Talent: this is defined the innate ability to do something well. Talent is God given. Talent is not skill. A skill is developed by practicing but talent is inborn.
Skill: skill as a concept can be defined as the ability to do something well. When something can be done well either as a result of experience etc. however, in as much as both talent and skill are similar their major difference is that talent has to do with innate ability while skill has to do with acquiring. skill is the capability to carry out a task efficiently and effectively with a given amount of time, energy or both.
Poverty: this can be defined as the state of one who lacks a usual or socially acceptable amount of money or material possessions. Poverty is to exist when people lack the needs to satisfy their basic need.

1) Composing of songs; an act of writing songs. With this as my talent I can add value to the entertainment industry of the nation there by adding to the nations GDP. At that time I love playing football and I find out that I can play very well more than my age mates. Then I don’t know that my father is watching me because he played football when he is still young, he was the person that called me and started giving me some training and instructions on how to play ball because it is my passion to do so I put in a lot of effort on that. Before I knew it our game master got interest in me have seen how I played whenever we have our school football training. I participated in all primary school football competition in Anambra state in 2005. At that time I was the captain of the team and the position I played that time is defence. I was the chief defence of my team (5) in that tournament as God may want it our school team did so well that they even represent our local government in the state level which we find win the second runner up in the tournament which I was opportune to have a hand shake with our state governor and commissioner of sports in my state. Haven started so well when I enter secondary school I played a lot of matches for my school which we won a lot of trophies at that time. After my secondary school when I was about taken my Jamb my game master advice me to Join a football academy which I later did but the challenges I have is that my mother don’t want me to play football.

My talent is cooking. Funny as it may sound but it’s what I love doing. I was quite young when I discovered how to cook, it is something I inherited from my grandmother, nobody taught me how to cook. I intend to open a café immediately after school till I get something doing, then I can hire a manager that will be managing my café while I work.

Growing up as a child, I had a very curious mind, I wanted to understand everything and anything, life, nature, love, God, etc. unconsciously I developed love for writing, I create beautiful stories, fictions, without much stress, I sit down and tell my stories and it flows with such a bond, that I believed is a talent because I didn’t have to acquire those story telling abilities, thus, I’m a fiction writer, a story teller, I write romance currently but I believing God for the ability to go into Christian literature, that is my long term plan. Though none of my stories has been published and just very few have been submitted as entries, with many unfinished works and few finished which is accessible but not public. I have a highly creative mind and imagination so I would say that also helped my writing. i hope to sell my stories in the nearest future.
Teenagehood came with a bag full of experience, so I gathered my experience as a teenager and decided to use it to help teenagers out, currently I’m a volunteer in a public secondary school, I share my experiences with them and impact the knowledge of God in them, giving hope to them and encouragement that will help them out through the tussles of juvenile, I love what I do because it helps me share my experience and it keeps hope alive in this youth which is my greatest joy, so I’m indirectly an inspirational speaker and writer with reality. The Merriam Webster’s dictionary defines talent as a special often athletic, creative or artistic aptitude. Skill is a learnt ability. It is acquired or developed after you put in a lot of time and hard work. Talents are peculiar to individuals and when properly harnessed makes for skills. Human beings are naturally endowed with skills and talents that can contribute to individual and natural growth and development.
During my early days, I had always fell in love with computer designing. I remember using the computer to design birthday cards, Christmas cards and even logos of business companies. Gaining admission into the university got me introduced to the world of building design using building design apps like auto cad, archi cad, solid works and so many more. With the above acquired skills, I intend to make wealth through them by venturing into business, establish a fashion design boutique, but with the limited capital, I would start with sewing/making dresses for people, make hairs, make-up for people on occasions( bridal, for photo shoots, events.etc) for which I get paid for. Bead making has been what I have learnt growing up because I lived with a person who specializes in it and I assist him with the little I could do from there I learnt how to make beads, so I can make beads and sell to people.

TEACHING;
Over the years, I have been teaching in different lesson centres and preparing for UTME exams especially those in my area of discipline. So it is in me to impact the little knowledge that I have to people where and when necessary. Since I have this natural inclination to impact knowledge to people, I have started at different academic institutions to keep the fire burning. Tomorrow, if I become a lecturer, I will not be surprised and continue with teaching. LEADERSHIP
One of the qualities of a good leader is the ability to serve others. This is what I have developed over the years by being a servant anywhere I am . Presently I am a chorister. I noticed I can sing very well that, if it happens I am the only one around in my part, while choir ministers it will be had to notice any discrepancy in soprano part. I have gone to many places for choir competition which I happened to be one of the soloist and we always carry the ist position. Any day I supposed to sing and didn't sing(like Church, anywhere) even when I am in my house, along the road, even when I am sick, I find out I will not have peace. I can just sing or council a sick person or someone who is weak may be because of challenge or condition, the person will become strong. I am gifted in counciling, singing and also l can cook very well. I thank God for that.
Under skills, I learned pea-nut making, cake but the one I am on is pea-nut because of my studies. I can make and design cake very well but don't do it all the time because of time. I carried on with pea-nut making because it is not something that spoils in months. I can just sacrifice a day (usually sarturdays) to prepair the one that can last for months and it doesn't disturb me. Computer Geek – I spent about a year and half in a computer training school and came out in flying colors. This skill has been a feather to my red cap. I’m grateful to God for every second I spent practicing computer. Honestly, the benefits greatly outweigh the cost. Whenever I’m called upon, I do help my daddy compute and process his balance sheet and do some other stuff in the computer. The way his chest puffs with pride whenever I sit in front of the PC and do the magic is pure bliss to me.

Managerial Skill – This skill is a major work in progress for me and it explains why I’m in the Department of Economics. Someday in the future, I would own and run a company (I haven’t decided what type of company yet), I believe this skill will go a long way to help me that area. All the knowledge and lessons I have so far learnt will equip me to be a better manager when the opportunity comes my way.

Research Skill – From time immemorial, I have always been one with questions upon questions loitering in my head. I have also been one to find out the depth of the matter about certain topics relating the society that bothers me. I search extensively for the truth because I believe the truth is out there, I merely have to search for it. This is another work in progress and one of the reasons I decided to major in Economics.

To solve poverty in my life;
Somewhere at the back of mind, I know that no matter what, I shall one day become a successful published author. When one is poor in the mind, they are done for. Therefore, as long as I have diligently gained education and reformed my mind, I could make money while engaging in the smallest of things, be it advising a small firm on how to make produce goods at the least cost method, carrying a research on how one or two things are the way there are, running a simple regression test on Eviews for a company, etc.

To solve poverty in our nation:
If I could, I would have earnestly wished to create enough wealth and distribute to every sick-homeless-poverty-stricken fellow I find roaming around the streets. See that no one is cheated or left out of the allocation. Put a genuine smile on every one’s face. My skill in life is in management of poverty farming and I have acquired a lot of training in that field for about eight years in various farms ranging from choice and various poultry farms in the Oyo State. Poultry in Nigeria is probably one of the most lucrative farming businesses you can do in Nigeria especially when it is setup and managed properly. The farmers, we currently have not producing enough poultry and will to be enough even in one next ten years. Poultry farm is raising of domesticated birds such as chickens, turkey, dove and geese, for the purpose of farming meat or egg for food. Poultry farms are farm where birds (of difference nature) are raised either for personal consumption or for commercial purpose. Which I specialized in raising of chickens for egg and meat production. I intend developing the poultry, farming by getting these factors listed below.
SUITABLE LAND: Generally, a plot of land of 120 by 60 square meters is suitable for setting up a medium sized poultry farm in Nigeria. We are been advised to buy land for farm in town or big cities. Select a fresh environment and pollution free area.
SYSTEM OF FARMING: Depend on the weather and climate of one part of Nigeria, there are three profitable system of raising poultry.
– Extensive system
– Semi-intensive system and
– Intensive poultry farming system
THE POULTRY BREEDS: It is another critical area we need to be carefully look at, because of breed, modern poultry breed are highly productive and commercial raising is also very profitable, modern layers produce more eggs, than tradition breed and broiler grow faster than ever.
HOUSING: good housing is very important for commercial poultry farming in Nigeria, housing system depend on the poultry breeds and farming method. Housing design varies in accordance with various types of poultry raising method.

Brief introduction on how I acquired the above listed skills.
Firstly, the laundry skill came about from the collective effort of my brother and I during our secondary school. I learnt everything about laundry from my brother while in secondary school including how to sort cloths into colorfast and non-colorfast, to washing, drying, ironing down to neatly folding. Painting and brick laying are the skills are learnt from my father who is a builder. I do follow him to his construction site then while I learnt how to do this two handwork and at the same time been paid for running errands at the site. Basically this are the three informal skills I got from my family while growing up and its patient to say that I do paint my fellow student’s rooms in the school on a little charge. Writing is a talent I have discovered in myself. Though this is still at the infancy stage because I haven’t paid so much attention to it. I intend enrolling for a writing workshop (the Farafina trust conducted every summer by Chimamand Nogzi Adchie) so that I can fully tap into this potential in the nearest future. It is important to note that am going into writing not necessarily as a sources of livelihood but because it’s a passion that came from reading.

Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard. For me to explore this skills and talent, I have to work hard in perfecting on them so that I can go beyond the boundaries of my locality. Talent is an inborn ability or aptitude of a person. It is inborn, we grow up without actually learning or acquiring it. Skills is learnt ability and can be developed if someone puts more effort to acquire it.
I discovered my talent when I got employed in a paint manufacturing company after my SSCE. I got to notice that I was very good with colours and can differentiate them more than most of my colleagues. My passion for colours and creating design led me to painting, mainly building painting decorations. I started with my home, and next a friend who introduced me to another friend. Also with the help of the company I worked for, I was able to get more painting works and consultants from people who needed home decors. My love for colours has gained me more and more inspiration on how to mix and create perfect wall designs, and it has fetched me lots of money both in school and outside the school environment.
HOW I INTEND TO USE MY TALENT TO CREATE WEALTH AND ERADICATE POVERTY
Since I have developed my talent, I set out steps that will help me to utilize my talent to create wealth. This is divided into basically two phases with their various characteristics or steps.
PHASE ONE
• Acquisition of necessary equipment and tools
I believe that for me to fully regard myself as a painter or a decorator, I have to possess the basic tools that are used in painting. This is why I feel that the first step I will take in my path to creating wealth through my talent is to avail myself of these tools. Also, acquisition of these tools is going to help me in doing any type of work that I wish to embark on.
• Publicity to advertisement on various social media
Next on the list is making people aware of what I do. This is where social media now comes in. I intend to make use of social media like Instagram, facebook, whatsapp, and twitter. This all starts with creating an account with these social media platforms and making advertisements on them, and also making it very easy for people to reach you. The advertisements also include works that I have already done before, as well as the ones that I feel I can do.
• Provision of means of transportation
This entails creating means that will enable me to transport myself to the various locations that am being needed at. This could mean purchasing a means of transportation itself or by setting out special fund for it.

PHASE TWO
These first three steps will attract customers to me and as the number of customers increase, there is the need for me to also expand leading to the following procedures.
• Employing of workers

Both skill sets are complementary and relevant to the overall development of an individual. Hard skills are specific knowledge and abilities that are learned through education or training. Examples include ICT skills, artisanship etc. Soft skills on the other hand are people skills that derives from personality traits and they are usually not quantifiable unlike hard skills. Examples include communication skills, emotional quotient etc. Right from my little age, I have always had passion for teaching. First , Talent is a natural aptitude or skill, while skill is the ability to do something well.
My talent is art,that is I have an artistic ability. All my life I’ve been surrounded by people who know how to beautify themselves and other people. My mum for instance, always loved making herself up and dressing her hair and nails her self and anytime she was doing those things i watched her and subconsciously I was learning. I had dolls that I always loved beautifying, and at a young age I subconsciously practiced with my dolls. But I won’t call it a talent because it has elements of Skill. For instance, in football some people have the talent of playing very well but if they don’t learn and practice those basic techniques in it then of course they would have limited skill. But if their education incorporates those techniques and skill, they would become skillful.
I have a natural talent to be a creative makeup artist and beautician (which is art). That is I am very good with makeup, hair styling, nails makings etc. And I have always known it was my talent because I never went to school for it, I just had passion in creating and hand making things on people especially women . And over time I have added some techniques I learned to it , I go on the internet to watch professional makeup tutorials and learn different ways in applying makeup, I follow the professional makeup artists on instagram and on blogs to get the newer updates on makeup and beauty as a whole.

Talent is a special ability that allows one to do something well and skill is the ability to do something that comes from training, experience or practice. Two of my identified talent and skill that can create wealth for me are fashion designing and makeup artistry. I have identified other talents too such as the ability to make people laugh and counsel but i will only discuss the two above. Fashion designing is the art of applying design aesthetics and natural beauty to clothing while make-up artistry is the art of applying make-up (cosmetics) on people often with the intention to beautify. One of the things I discovered while growing up was that I had a flair for colors. I loved to draw and color different patterns of clothes.
During my childhood days, I was gifted dolls by my aunty. The dolls had dresses on, but with time, the dresses became worn out. I had to cut pieces of fabric from my old clothes and make dresses for the dolls with just needle, thread and scissors. Because of how beautiful and well fitted the clothes were on the dolls, I became so fascinated in making dresses for the dolls,that I had to start visiting the tailor's shop in our street to pick pieces of colorful fabrics cut out from sewn clothes. As time went on, I started drawing designs of dresses to be made for my dolls in a jotter. Sometimes, I will draw models wearing the dresses.
When I entered the university, I discovered that the next best thing that had to do with color painting and fashion designing was make-up. I picked up interest in it. I started watching make-up tutorial videos on YouTube and any platform available. I practiced with my face and any of my friend's face that cared to volunteer. I devoted time toward mastering the art of make-up, which was not hard for me since I already had that ability to match colors and create artistic work. I perfected my skill and started beautifying people especially during matriculations, convocation, date nights and other special occasions. I had to start fixing/charging money for it since ineeded to upgrade my makeup toolbox. I even had to come up with a brand name "COLOURPLAY BY NANCY" because of the popularity I was fast gaining.

Although I have already started getting income from my make-over business, meager as it is for now. I want to still develop and expand my skill. According to wikipedia, talent is an ability that someone is born with. It is the natural ability to be good at something especially without being taught. To my own understanding talent means being good in a certain activity without actually learning or acquiring it.
Skill is a learnt ability and can be developed in someone if he/she puts its time and efforts in it. The efforts need to be voluntary,systematic and sustained.
As a young girl i was born with this instinctual talent of dancing, i pick up routines quickly and i continue to develop my talent over the years,turning myself into an established and respected dancer. However with classes,dedication,practice, hardwork and motivation my talent becomes an advantage.
I possess skills like catering,fashion designing and modeling. As a young girl always love to bake with my mom then after my secondary school i develop my skill of bakery by perfecting it,then i start my fashion designing tutor which i embrace the new styles of designs and sewing of cloth since majority of people love to wear sown clothes. Ever since I was a child, singing has always been one of my talents and I realized that it makes me happy. I actually started singing properly in my Junior Secondary school when my classmates then formed a singing group, the Pristine; just for fun. Though I joined reluctantly but from there, I actually realized that I have a talent for singing. I intended to develop my talent so as to create wealth for myself and take me out of poverty by going for some singing competitions like the MTN project fame where I would also be groomed more in singing and also get to compete with my fellow inmates for a prize.
I have also been fortunate and blessed with the skill of teaching and out of the goodness of my heart, I like to give back to the community. 1. My Talent and Skills: The Skills I have are Tailoring and Hair dressing. The dominant of them is Tailoring. I learnt how to sow clothes after my secondary school and up till now, I still devote some of my time to making some of the clothes I wear by myself. Tailoring is interesting. The cost of making a clothe is relatively cheap. Most of the clothes I wear are locally made by tailors who I do help out in one way or the other. So in appreciation for my assistance, they normally sow clothes for free for me, provided I buy the clothing materials. Also, I know how to plait hair and pretty do it well. I plait most of my friends hair and they offer a thank you in appreciation.
2. How I intend to develop my skills and use them to escape poverty: I have plans of still learning Tailoring and hair dressing up to a professional level. Upon my graduation and service, I will go for and extensive training in Tailoring. When I must have been certified to be good at it, then I will look to establishing my own business of clothe making. ASSIGNMENT: Write your talent and the skill you have developed and how you intend to develop them to help you create wealth and take out poverty from your life in the medium term and long-run.
A talent is a marked natural ability or skill to be good at something especially without being taught, whereas a skill is a practical knowledge, a capacity to do something well; technique, ability. Skills are usually acquired or learned, as opposed to abilities (talent) which are often thought of as innate. Talents are usually in born and are developed over time through individual effort via constant practice.
My talents include childcare, teaching (children mostly) and the skills I have acquired include make up artistry, tailoring (still a work in progress though), choreographing, manufacturing of house hold items like dish washer, hair shampoo and conditioner, bleach e.c.t.
Childcare is the act, practice occupation of supervising and taking care of young children. Growing up, I discovered I had an exceptional love for children (especially babies) and I was also great at taking care of them which I did without much fuss. Due to financial constraints presently I just watch over kids for their parents for a considerable sum of money although, I plan on establishing a crèche where nursing mothers who are also career women could drop off their children when going to work or just mothers in general. And they will pay for the services rendered on a monthly or weekly basis. The crèche will accommodate various ages of children and they will also be thought a variety of artistic things like singing, dancing, painting and acting in line with the recommended academic curriculum.
Makeup artistry is the process of applying cosmetics; colorants and other substances to the skin to improve its appearance. As a makeup artist, I have been able to see how large the market is because girls always want to look their best for parties and occasions mostly on weekends, and I have been able to make a reasonable sum of money from it. In the long run, I plan on partnering with a friend to create and run a beauty studio which will offer various services such as makeup artistry, hair making, pedicure and manicure, dress making and all things beauty etc. because the market for beauty is large and it keeps growing.
The aforementioned is a conceived way to bring me out of the poverty circle and also reduce the unemployment line, thereby leading to a reasonable level of economic growth and development of the country.

Answer:
1. My Talents and Skills: I have discovered that my natural talent is the gift of Art appreciation. I love literature so much; I can devote a whole day doing literature without feeling bored or hungry. It is something I do without stress and naturally. Am good at making up good stories that can make people around me sit down and listen to the end. I like mimicking what happens in reality in stories. In fact, I have some novels which am still working on in view to publishing them. I love thinking out Movie Ideas too which when related to anyone,it baffles them. One time I told some group that I watched this interesting video that they also need to watch;they asked me what it was about? Then I told them my own movie idea and they all wanted to get the name of the movie not knowing it is just my own idea. I can go crazy with Art. I think it is Life (I.e Art).
2. How I intend to develop my talent: I develop my talent by reading and appreciating numerous works of art that comes my way. The more art i appreciate,the more love I build towards it. Again, I develop my talent by building my vocabularies through the dictionary and works of professionals in the field of art. These works teach me a lot on how to present my ideas and get people want to hear me until my last word.
3. How My Talent will take me out of poverty both in the medium term and Long Term: There are so many ways that I can make money from my talent. On the medium term, I intend to get my movie ideas copyrighted and advertised in the pitching market. When a movie idea has been copyrighted, your pitching company advertises it and markets it for you. A movie idea sells for not less than $2000 each. That when changed in my country currency is a quite pretty sum. Also, I compete in short story competitions and literature group works online and offline. This fetches money too. On the long term, I hope to get many of my books published for both online and offline sales. I have started making advances towards publishing my first set of books. When these books are published, if they appeal to a large number of readers, it gets you the recognition and financial boost you deserve. By this way, my talent have taken me out of poverty.

HOW I INTEND TO DEVELOP MY TALENT AND SKILL TO CREATE WEALTH FOR ME IN THE MEDIUM TERM (5 YEARS) AND LONG TERM (10 YEARS).
Growing up as a child, I never knew what one could call a talent or even a skill but I’ve always loved speaking to people (I can remember bringing my siblings together to read out articles and pretend to be a presenter) and equally listening to them share their burdens, ideologies and philosophies about life generally. At first, it seemed weird for a child my age but I guess it was a rare gift. Aside that, fashion was one thing I could kill for, seeing people classically dressed gave me great joy especially with the right cloth combination and colour combination as well. As time went by, I started sorting out clothes for events for my parents, siblings and friends and I always got lots of fashion related questions as well and it really pained me to see people with no or low fashion sense.
Without paying close attention to this and just living, the clock kept ticking and after my secondary school education, I got admission to study Economics in the university. But what I wanted to do still wasn’t clear to me I just knew I loved fashion, making runway sketches and talking to people. But after my first year, I decided to develop a skill and signing up for a fashion class was a big shot for me, with great enthusiasm and passion I started learning sewing, patterning, fabric sorting, sketching and even how the fashion business operates like meeting elderly women who had been in the field for a while. As time went by, it became clear to me the area of fashion I wanted to go into because the fashion is very broad and it pays according to your level of expertise. I decided to go fully into the African traditional fashion popularly known as “Ankara Fashion” having my own unique designs and making proper use of the social media platforms we have today and as it keeps advancing in showcasing my products (Ankara accessories, clothing and crafts), learning more on how the fashion industry operates from those who have gone far in the field. Also, give out consultancy in choosing outfits for events and proper clothing and colour combinations too. In the long run, I intend to have my own fashion house where we’ll run classes for youngsters with similar passion and coach those who wish to improve their skills in designing.
Still in school, in order to improve good public speaking skill I made a move and became a member of the Economic Press Association (Ecopress), where my horizon is broadened and I’ve had the opportunity to present before other Pressmen. Although it wasn’t hundred percent the best, I strongly believe Rome wasn’t built in one day. With proper grooming and training, I know I’m becoming a good presenter.

QUESTION: WRITE DOWN YOUR TALENT AND THE SKILLS YOU HAVE DEVELOPED? HOW DO YOU INTEND TO DEVELOP YOUR TALENT AND SKILLS TO CREATE WEALTH FOR YOU AND TAKE YOU OUT OF POVERTY BETWEEN MEDIUM TERM AND LONG TERM?
The term “Talent” (or gift, or aptitude) is the skill that someone has to do something very well that people usually like and that is different.
The simple English Wikipedia further explain the word “Talent” as the ability that someone is born with. Some people say they are “born with a talent”. People that are talented may have more than one talent.
While the Cambridge dictionary defined “Talent” as someone who has a natural ability to be good at something, especially without being taught: a person or people with a natural skill or ability.
CATERING: While growing up I start having interest in catering and other related services to this field, I engage myself in some training and look out to others who do such services to help me learn from them especially my mum, she has always been my source of inspiration and motivation and I learnt a lot from her. During my secondary school days, there are also subject that also helped to broaden my knowledge and understanding about this catering services such as: foods and nutrition and home management but at a point a student is entitled to make choice from the two subject, so I have to go for home management, in this field we are also taught about things related to foods and nutrition. It happened that we later had a practical against our exam for that subject, we all were exposed to a lot of foods and each student is meant to choose one meal and a fruit juice to accompany the meal. We all had a lot that day to prepare, but I had to prepare an appetizing, palatable Jellof rice and orange fruit juice which at the end of the exercise gave me a good score after the exam/competition, not just that we were expose to both tailoring, setting of table, making bids and lots more. Even when I got admission to the university, in my first year I had this roommate that bakes too well, it was also another opportunity to rehearse all I learnt during my secondary school days all this helped me a lot and added to my knowledge. Though I tried enrolling myself into one of the catering schools within the school so to help me rehearse all I learnt and even gain more ideas but due to the economy of the country in terms of financial instability and also time on my part which is due to the field of study I find myself has been a stumbling block /hindrance for me, though in my little Conner I try practicing the little I can like baking.
Moving on to SKILL, skill is the ability to carry out a task with determined results often within a given amount of time, energy, or both.
As skill is the ability to have knowledge or comprehension of something and do it well.
At the period I was waiting for my admission I also discovered what can also help to broaden my talent which was INTERNET. I learnt how I can make use of this to advertise my talent to people and the world at large because people need a broad range of skill to contribute to a modern economy, this will also help to expose me and my business to the outside world and take me to places, though I planned going into it fully after my university study because with this am sure to create wealth for myself, with this my talent and skill am sure of taking myself and generation out from poverty.
