
SVRI Early Career Research Fellowship Program
The SVRI Early Career Research Fellowship Program is a fantastic opportunity for emerging researchers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to focus on the intersection of violence against women (VAW) and violence against children (VAC).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Nationals of LMICs enrolled full-time at an accredited in-person institution
- Conducting research focused on VAW and VAC intersections
- Doctoral candidates must have an institutionally approved or defended dissertation proposal
- Preference given to applicants from underrepresented regions or groups
Fellowship Types and Funding:
- Doctoral Fellowship: Up to 24 months, $17,000
- Postdoctoral Fellowship: Up to 24 months, $20,500
- Funding supports research activities, travel, software, publication fees, and academic site visits

- Career objectives and community impact statement
- Research proposal with abstract, background, innovation, and contribution
- Institutional verification and academic transcripts
- Two reference letters
