The Georgia, Southern University’s Department of Biology is offering a fully funded Master’s scholarship in fungal genomics and host-pathogen interaction, supervised by Dr. Yong Zhang.
Eligibility Requirements:
- B.S. or M.S. in Microbiology, Plant Pathology, Mycology, Plant Science, Molecular Biology, or related disciplines
- Knowledge in bioinformatics, computational biology
- Familiar with Python (or R, Perl)
- Strong communications skills, self-motivation, and passion for research
- Preferred qualifications: hands-on experience in OMICS data analysis and proficiency in computer programming and big data management
