The University of Nottingham’s Developing Solutions Masters Scholarship is a prestigious opportunity for international students from Africa, South Asia, and selected Commonwealth countries to pursue a Master’s degree in the UK. Here’s what you need to know:
Eligibility Requirements:
- Be domiciled in Africa, India, or one of the selected Commonwealth countries
- Be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
- Hold an offer to start a full-time Master’s (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham UK in the:
- Faculty of Engineering
- Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
- Faculty of Science
- Faculty of Social Sciences
Scholarship Benefits:
- 50% or 100% tuition fee scholarship for a one-year Master’s program
- Opportunity to devise development solutions that can benefit your home country
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrate your vision and tangible plan for developing a specific solution to key economic, environmental, structural, social, or political challenges in your home country
- Link your solution to the learning outcomes of your course of study and how it will facilitate your efforts
- Academic merit and noteworthy achievements will also be considered
Application Process:
- Apply for and receive an offer to study a full-time Master’s at the University of Nottingham for 2026/27.
- Once you have received your offer, apply through the scholarships section of the University of Nottingham’s application system, NottinghamHub.
- If you have an offer for an MRes course, email the scholarships team on scholarship-assistant@nottingham.ac.uk for instructions on how to apply.
Important Dates:
- Deadline: April 15, 2026
- Award notification: By the end of May 2026
Additional Information:
- The scholarship can be combined with other University scholarships, but the total award cannot exceed 100% of tuition fees.
- You do not need to respond to your offer before submitting your scholarship application.
